Ashely Hirsch Burn Fitness

Ashley’s passion for fitness started in college but she didn’t realize it would be a career until grad school.  Ashley graduated from Florida State University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services.  She then came home, to Boca and attended FAU studying for her Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling. She became a certified personal trainer and worked at Bally Total Fitness part time.  Once she started working in the fitness industry she decided that her desire to help people and her passion for fitness could be a career.  After two years of graduate school she got a full time job as the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness of the JCC and never looked back.  Ashley spent 12 years at that position but is now very excited to own Burn Fitness! Ashley loves Spinning, as a certified spinning instructor since 2003 she can’t wait to share her classes with all of you!  A Florida native, Ashley currently lives in Wellington with her husband Dave and 2 kids, Ethan 7 and Hailey, 5.

Laura Becraft, owner of Pilates of Boynton Beach and now Burn Fitness, has lived in the Canyons since 2005 with her family. Her children Sophia 9 and Alex 6 keep her extremely busy but she always finds time for her passion fitness. Laura graduated Florida International University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality management and has built a successful career in the spirits industry. Being an avid runner, she tries to race at least once a week during season. In 2003 she discovered Pilates and Indoor Cycling after a racing injury led her to rehab and has been hooked ever since. Laura feels there is no better therapy to cleanse the mind than working out and Burn Fitness allows her to share that gift with others. Laura is a certified Spin, Pilates and Barre instructor. She loves to challenge clients and help them reach personal goals all while having fun doing it!






Duane Colglazier Burn Fitness

Duane has a passion for health and fitness that stems from the love of martial arts. This is where he learned his most important life lesson…. You can achieve your goals and dreams with a little hard work and perseverance. He trained under Master Hung Tran (1994-1999) were he earned a Black Belt status in 1998. Trained under Billy Blanks (Tae Bo Aerobics). Duane opened Clear Lake Martial Arts & Fitness Center (2001-2004) Awarded Black Belt Grand Champion (Forms & Sparring) in Northern Iowa 2003. He brought his program to Florida in 2008. Group fitness Instructor for La Fitness & Head Trainer at Bombers Boxing, West Palm Beach. He opened Infusion Cardio Self-Defense (2010-2014). Focusing on group workouts and weight loss. Duane's love of martial arts and desire to compete led him to research the best methods for developing the highest levels of fitness for kickboxing & boxing.

Jennifer Burn Fitness

Jennifer was born in Rochester New York but has lived in South Florida for most of her life. She was raised in Boca Raton and now lives in Boynton Beach with her family. She is the proud mom of an energetic toddler, Cole and stepmom to Taylor who is in her freshman year at FAU. Jennifer has had a passion for exercise since high school. She graduated from FSU in 2000 with a degree in Rehabilitation Services and then came home to South Florida where she got her RN degree. In nursing school Jennifer discovered spinning and soon after became a certified instructor. Jennifer is a care taker by nature and loves to inspire and motivate people. Her love for spinning comes from her soul and she is very excited to share it with anyone who chooses to take the ride.

Melissa Katz

Melissa is a certified Power Pilates Instructor.  She has a comprehensive Power Pilates certification and teaches both mat and apparatus classes.  She also enjoys working with clients one on one in private sessions to help them meet their fitness goals.   Her love for Pilates is contagious and she loves to share her passion with others.

Adam has been a student of fitness for 20+ years, 8 years US Military, and regularly teaching for 3 years. He is the Official Off-Ice fitness coach for Olympic hopefuls for 2018 and has competitively wrestled lightweight. His military background and competitive wrestling experience gives him discipline with an added special finesse you will find inviting and encouraging. Adam specializes in fitness holding many certificates based in body mechanics, form and Pilates. Pound Fit, TRX, Power Pilates, BodyWorks, Keiser M3 Cycle, Xtreme BootCamp, Tabata, Cardio Kickboxing, HIIT and more. Come see his shining positive attitude with his endless abundance of energy and you will see why they call him AdamBomb.

Monica Hornung is a healing arts professional well versed in a holistic approach to mind, body and spirit. As a yoga instructor, she brings to her students a depth of experience in Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa style yoga, having trained across the globe with internationally acclaimed yoga practitioners. She also maintains a practice as a massage therapist, specializing in neuromuscular therapy and is certified to teach Reiki. Monica is the owner of YogaMundo and provides studio classes in a small group setting as well as private classes. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher – ERYT 500 – with the Yoga Alliance and began her teacher practice in 1998, and continues to grow in her own practice and experience that she brings to her students.

Meka Weiss

Meka is currently a Yoga Alliance 200 RYT Vinyasa Yoga teacher.  Meka discovered Yoga after struggling for years with chronic knee and back pain due to a car accident.  Yoga became what she needed to keep her physically and emotionally healthy.  Yoga isn't always about the poses to Meka but about what you learn about yourself by doing the work on the mat.  She believes yoga  transforms you and teaches you to breathe through life's challenges and transitions.  Meka is also a certified AFFA group exercise instructor,  Zumba instructor, and NCSF Personal Trainer.

Heather Goldstein

Heather lives in Delray Beach with her husband and 2 children.  Fitness has always been a priority for this Jersey girl and when she found Barre she fell in love with the results.  She finds Barre to be a well rounded workout providing the cardio, lengthening and strengthening that she loves.  Heather also has a comprehensive Pilates certification and loves to share her passion for Pilates with other.

Christopher Scott Caldwell began is professional career at the age of 15, touring the US and Japan as a soloist and an assistant for R&B legends The Whispers.  Since then, he has worked with some of the worlds top choreographers including Broadway giant Bill T. Jones, and "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" judges Mia Micheals, Brian Friedman, Napoleon and Tabatha D'umo, Wade Robson and Chris Judd.  Christopher is a certified dance educator of Fred Astaire International and in 2009 co-founded Ovations Productions LLC in St. Petersburg, Florida for which he serves as Artistic Director and Choreographer.

Emily Borsodi-Sundberg was born and raised in Michigan. She has a degree in Social Work from Ferris State University. Newer to the fitness world, she stumbled into her first Zumba class nearly 5 years ago.  On a mission to lose the baby weight and she never turned back. She gained 50 lbs with her 2nd child and lost 65 pounds with Zumba fitness! Zumba has become her passion and she loves teaching  and working with women who want to dance their way back to their pre-baby bodies. Emily is currently licensed to teach Basic Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Kids + Kids Jr Zumba and frequently attends classes to continue education in Zumba Fitness and keep her classes up to date with new music. She believes Zumba is for everybody and encourages her students to let loose and have fun, all while being healthy!

Danielle's passion for health and fitness began in her early teens when she first attended one of Ashley's spin classes.  Her interest in fitness continued to grow as she was a member of both track and field and cross country teams.  Danielle received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UCF in 2016.  Throughout her college career she taught multiple different formats of group fitness at UCF.  She is a certified spin and group fitness instructor and loves sharing her passion for fitness with others.

Brie Mazin

 

Yoga Instructor

 

Brie Mazin is a mom of two under three years old and always makes time for her first baby, yoga. Her positive outlook, combined with 15 years in the group exercise community has impacted many. Brie utilizes her experience, passion and compassion to motivate others and loves observing them reach their personal goals.In her college days, Brie discovered
the incredible cardiovascular and interval training that spinning and group exercise offer. After graduating college, she earned certifications with Mad Dogg/Johnny G and AFAA and began instructing group fitness classes in New York City. After five years in the Big Apple, Brie relocated back home to South Florida, where she continued teaching and stumbled across her first vinyasa flow yoga class, with her eventual guru, Leslie Glickman. She fell completely in love. Brie went on to study many different styles of yoga and specializes in teaching vinyasa and yin yoga. Brie is a Yoga Alliance RYT 200, has her prenatal certification and continues to learn through practice, conferences, workshops and retreats. Brie's focus for teaching is now all on yoga since it's made such a drastic impact in her life. Whether her students come to the mat for the physical, spiritual or emotional,Brie drops in a dose of all.
